Love the wreckers, had an all you can carry for $99

Post by yoda69 »

Wish I had of had more time and the weather was a little a better, but not bad for a couple hours.
I should have kept better track of what I was getting, as got more VT V6 ECU's than I thought.

VT V6 ECU's x 5
VX/Y V6 ECU's x 2 - should have got more of these and less VT's, DOH!!!
16199728 x 2
16208257 x 1
16176424 x 1
VY LUX BCM x 1
VX LUX BCM x 1
VY ABS/TC Module x 1
Assorted wiring, couple of TPS, IAC, MAP sensors, etc.
1 lambswool seat cover - Used as a Santa sack to carry everything

Some cheeky bastards had already been in and removed memcals from a number of ECU's, but in the end not a bad haul.

Nice score with loom ends as well! Not many pick a part wreckers over here anymore, and even less (or no) all you can carry for $99 wreckers. Make the most of it!!

Would probably cost more to send it to NZ than what you could get one for. Want to mod a VX/VY PCM for Realtime, was having a look inside and can see pads for a memcal holder on the ECU, wondering if possible to remove flash chip, add header and use the ostrich, possibly rehousing in a VT ECU housing. Plan for VR/VS ecu's is to convert to Realtime for use with NVRAM as required.
Was watching Isle of Man TT yesterday when I saw the ad for the wrecker, thought to good of an opportunity to miss.

Modified memcal with NVRAM instead of EPROM, and then mod ECU to enable Realtime tuning. Works well for VS or earlier ECU's, but too much noise on the bus on VT and later.
