VT V8 problems with tunerpro?

Post by matt »

The car is a supercharged vt v8, which had a modified empron based on the CNPJ bin which was running good except being overly rich at 3500rpm.

I pulled the NVRAM out of my vs ute which worked fine and burned the v8 bin on it, which the VT started and ran but the data in tuner pro was all over the place and jumping around and tuner pro keeps crashing.

I tried it with and without the ose plugin, doesnt make a difference
tried vairous xdf and adx files, doesnt make a difference
cleaned all the earth points, disconnected atfermarket tacho, claened battery terminals
i read to disconnect the bcm pin, but theres no e2 pin to disconnect on bcm being blank where the E plug should go

Im all out of ideas?

You do need to disconnect the bcm, or put a switch on its data line. There isnt enough time on the data bus for all the vehicle comms and tunerpro.
Have you read the FAQ? For lots of information and links to significant threads see here: http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1396

Thanks for the quick reply!

what pin do you need to disconnect? The bcm has the plugins labled a,b,c,d and e but where e is there is no plug?

At the top of the page there is a link to the 'faq', the last question/answer is what you need, which points you to this thread: https://pcmhacking.net/forums/view ... 059#p19702
