is if possible to add an external battery to the NVRAM? kinda like a BIOS battery on a PC motherboard.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.

This is not the right thread for these questions, this is about ebay clone hardware. But your answer is no, the internal battery is a non-user replaceable part. However, the genuine unit will last its 10 years. If you wish to attempt to build one of your own with replaceable battery try and find festys thread on the subject, and/or start a new thread.
Have you read the FAQ? For lots of information and links to significant threads see here: http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1396

Looks like a quality job there :(
That NVRAM chip is 7 years old, if it has been powered down most of it's life it probably wouldn't last much more than a year if that.

Yep, total POS. and I don't generally get stung but it sounded like he had sold a few so did it.
BTW that NVRAM was a Chinese replacement as both the ones he gave me corrupted and were unrecoverable, I will post pics of them tomorrow.
The only thing I can say though it worked and is a good backup at least.
