Send ADX commands

Just a quick 1....
In creating a send command does it have to have the 0xF5.... Or can it just have F5....

I know all the other commands I've seen in other adx's have the 0x part so assuming that it has to be there, but noticed in the mode 4 generator some genius made doesn't create that 1st part!

OK bit of an update & don't want to shoot the genius but I tried just sending the 3rd gear lock command with TCC unlock which with generator came out at A5 6D 04 81 (all the 00's - 14 to be exact) then checksum but it didn't work?
So I then just tried the old version that I knew that worked A5 58 04 81 (2's compliment checksum) & worked perfect?

Is it an error with the generator or user error?

Did you change the second byte in the frame, the number of bytes, after adding in all the 0's?

F5, 56+X, 4, <mode 4 payload>, CS

The number of bytes in the mode 4 get added to 0x56. So the current command that works would be .. F5, 5A, 4, A5, 58, 04, 81, CS ??

SORRY, not sure what that means...

just taken from the box where send commands for 3rd gear is;
0xF5 0x58 0x04 0x81 0x00 (with 2's compliment 2E)
that works!

Try F5 6C 04 81 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 with 2s comp checksum enabled.

The vehicle has been picked up, but next time I have an A5 in I will test!

I can try the same test on $06 as I think it has same error!
