Vr V8 manual memcal

Post by Beeevo »

Hi, I'm in need of a memcal for my burnout car. It's a vr ute 383 stroker with twin tb manifold and a gt4294 turbo with a getrag 5 sp manual. I have lost the key so I will need VATS disabled. The ecu is 1618302 service number. I need a complete memcal not just a calibration as my tuned one has magicly learnt to remove itself and walk out of my ecu and cannot be located.

I'm actually not sure what the map sensor is as it was installed when I got the car. It looks standard. I did drive the car for 65 km and it went hard and smooth. Tho only identifying marks are 1/05

it would probably be a good idea to multi meter it ... really need to know what it is for any custom tune to be even close to working

Ok so I removed the sensor and had a look underneath. There is a sticker branded ACA but the part number is unreadable, how do I test it?

Plug it back in and with the key on and measure the voltage of the middle pin. If its ~2.5V its a 2bar, approx 5V is a 1bar.

It is reading 4.84v so must be a standard one, I will have to rectify this. I will buy a 2 bar ASAP.

Is it using an auto or manual ecu? If its an auto PCM there then there is no 2 bar support freely available, will need to buy kalmaker.

If its a manual ECU 12P (https://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=356) supports 2 and 3 bar but you will still need to get someone to tune it.

The ecu says 5.0 manual on it, I just purchased a 3 bar sensor.
