Hey people. just wandering if someone out there could take a look at these log files and help me understand what i am seeing. one is my new vy 02 exec i picked up a week and a half ago and the other is my vr 94 acclaim. now the vy is just a general how to read what i am seeing and any minor improvements i could make. the vr however is the main one im looking for info on. Its running like an absolute pig at the moment and wandering if someone could help me understand why. thanks in advance

can you provide more information on "absolute pig" ... ie. is it stalling or bring up engine light or just using lots of fuel etc ?

Fuel, fuel and more fuel. running sickly sweet. not just that tho. i took it for a spin around the block yesterday arvo(thats what the log is) and taking off down the road, she was running like she had a flat tyre. has only been sitting for a week and a half since i got my new car. not the longest time its sat either. its like its developed a miss under load or something which i dont know how due to the fact that it ran perfect to perth and back for 1000km. hell my ave fuel was even down to 8.0l/100.

at a quick glance the o2 sensor seems very erratic and isn't a nice looking graph... i'd suggest trying another o2 but this isn't the main problem, it may just be poisoned from the excessive fuel. (once running correctly it may sort itself out as it burns all the excess off but if it's old replace it)
page 5 of this pdf, examples of normal & abnormal o2 voltage readings
http://www.autoshop101.com/forms/h37.pdf

even @ 4% tps position the o2 remains high at 900mv for a long time, the ecu is trying to reduce the fuel being thrown in going by the BLM but it's just not happening.
If you still have that spare car/engine try changing the injectors and fuel reg over and see how it goes then.

Plugs and leads in good condition, wouldn't be the first time i've seen an old faulty lead or 2 allowing to much unburnt fuel going through the engine causing issues with o2's.

I don't see the issue that you are describing
8:10 shifts into 4th
8:13 TCC locks up
engine temp never seems to get above 86° and trans temp gets to 68°

Also i was driving to get tea. Cruise on at 90kmh and it felt very jerky. Knocked the shifter from d to 3 and no change on the taco

I just added a "gear ratio" trace to the monitor.
1st is 3.06
2nd is 1.63
3rd is 1.00
4th is 0.70

And that tells you that 4th is definatly engagine?
Also is there a screen that tells me which gear the ecu has chosen in realtime?
