Ls1 Flash Tool - Proof of concept
Ls1 Flash Tool - Proof of concept
I have been working on this for a while now .
I have designed a cable and software that will :
Read full bin in bin format
Read cal in bin format
Write the calibration section direct from bin file
Only remaining issue to sort out is writing a full bin file so os can be changed ,just need to tweek the bootloader file a bit more when i get time .
No licences are required giving freedom to flash as many pcms as you wish

Re: Ls1 Flash Tool
Interesting indeed. May put a few noses out of joint with the software outfits that do require licences...
Re: Ls1 Flash Tool
Anyone making custom OS? There's one company doing it and aren't cheap they are marketing it as a replacement for Delco.
Re: Ls1 Flash Tool
Efilive and Hptuner both have custom o/systems for ls1 pcms ,they are only really needed if you plan to run mafless and still have both hi/lo octane spark maps operating, or if your wish to run a boosted setup.
If you run a std os mafless you will only have the lo octane spark map operating.

Re: Ls1 Flash Tool
thats true, but to get both maps going when mafless its just one simple patch in the right place.

Re: Ls1 Flash Tool
Where in the code does the patch need applying ,cal section or operating code section.

Re: Ls1 Flash Tool
I'd say it would be in the operating code
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: Ls1 Flash Tool
depends on the OS, but yes, in the operating system code.
