Got some from Honk Kong. Second hand 70ns for a little over $20 posted for 10. If the pic they used is anything to go off they should be Genuine.
Have you seen the price for the Ventrinox Tech 2 from UOBD2. $310 with Holden 32mb card. I am still trying to get a firm postage cost out of them.

Winbonds arrived today so I tried one. My memcal reader/writer gave a message that said please check pins etc as well as saying some chips may have compatible chip ID Continue so I did and it programmed well so in the car and works fine. Price was right $2.60 each posted. They are 512K and 45ns with Taiwan in a small circle on the underside.

I had the same problem. in device, choose the actual manufacture winbond and choose the part number.
chips of different manufacture can have different programing sequence if thats the right terminology?
After selecting the correct one it programed perfect with no messages.

Thanks. I just went back and picked that eprom and its perfect. I tried before to put the number in but it kept reverting back to SST27C512 for some silly reason but when I scrolled through and found the specific chip it works great. Thanks
