Converting Slant 225 to EFI

Post by rxfc3s »

Hi Guys,
Just wondering if anyone has converted a Slant 225 to EFI? Thinking of doing it to my VC Val and turbo charging it later.
Was thinking of using one of these manifolds,

Injector bungs are already cast into the manifold and would require drilling. Any ideas who can do it in Adelaide?
Thinking of using a JE Camira setup initially, and using the crank sensor outlined by 202T.
Ideas on where to get custom fuel rails?

Cheers
Andrew

G'day Andrew, I am in the middle of converting a 265 to Delco EFI. I got EFI Hardware to make my custom fuel rail. If you are going to drill the holes at 90 degrees to the runners then it should be easy enough to do yourself, although I can imagine after paying a fair bit for a manifold you don't want to make a mistake. There should be machine shops that could do this for you. The JE Camira loom etc is a good way to go but guys have also used the VN V6 commodore setup.

Also N13 pulsar loom is good, ecu is located under the passenger seat. Many to choose from at u-pull-it. And Ive seen people buy a 'loom' with sensors for the price of a loom, but that depends partly on luck. Still a pretty good way to get most the hardware.
