Try a container like this, easy to open/close and seals fairly well.

Re: ALDL Logger V2
I have a question about MAP voltage reading. When using my logger it shows MAP voltage of 4.71 with key on engine off which would be spot on if I had a 1 bar MAP sensor. The problem is I have a 3 bar map sensor and the actual voltage at the map is 1.6 volts about what I would expect. I notice the value in the ADX calls it scaled MAP voltage. Am I interpreting this reading wrong?

Its a 12P thing. To have the same bin capable of 1, 2 or 3 bar sensors with just tick flags I scale the 2 or 3 bar sensor reading to an equivalent 1 bar MAP voltage. This is then calculated in to a 1 bar kPa value and used for all non-boost code.

Re: ALDL Logger V2
So when logging a boost car will it have any affect on my reading to tune against? I see it reads the correct atmospheric pressure on the logger.

You can pretty much forget the scaled item even exists, just look at the MAP item.

Re: ALDL Logger V2
Just managed to get a VS V6 ecm with rs232 built into pcm & seeing there is no way of getting a VS to re-connect to log data unless ignition is switched off for 10 seconds (think BCM reset issue or something) I'm 99% sure with having the rs232 built into PCM I should be able to connect straight away after stall scenario.
Is there an easy way to convert the standard ALDL logger adx to just connect to PCM using rs232 direct connection?

Re: ALDL Logger V2
i THINK you should just be able to change echo settings and bus type and it will be right.
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: ALDL Logger V2
Back now.
If your VS PCM has serial rs232 built in with a DB9 pin socket you can connect it directly to the male DB9 pin on the logger using a standard rs232 cable. You will also have to supply 12 volts to pin 6 on the logger to power it. An easy way to do this is to see if you can access pin 6 on the VS pcm's serial socket making sure its not connected to any thing and add 12 volts to it there.
Hope it makes sense.
