Just a quick question in setting knock control. The knock count logging MAP and RPM window settings. I have a car that shows no sigh of knock when I think it should. Maybe I am not running enough timing yet. I have the minimum temp set at 60 deg, the RPM window at 150 RPM (I assume that's the minimum RPM for logging knock) and the MAP window set at 4.06kPa. All the right boxes are ticked to ensure it should work.

They are window values to filter knock events to a particular cell in the knock logging table. Example with your settings...
A 150 RPM RPM window means the knock count logging table row for say 2000RPM will allow for 2000RPM +-75RPM (1925-2075RPM)
A 4.06kPa MAP window will allow at say 80kPa column 80kPa +-2.03kPa (78-82kPa)

If MAP is 81kpa and RPM 2036RPM, some knock occurs for 0.5 seconds it will be logged to the 2000RPM/80kPa cell. Once say RPM is say 2100 RPM it wont log knock to the 2000RPM/80kPa cell anymore and just ignore it until another cell gets to be within your window settings.

The delay of 0.5 seconds before it gets logged may be too long if its not a slow ramp through cells. This can be adjusted using the logging delay item.

Just a note, this has no bearing on knock retard or knock counts the ECU reads and reacts to. Its purely logging when a writeable NVRAM is installed.

Thanks. I am not using NVRAM so those settings have no relevance. So all I need to do is have the ESC temp set right (got it on 37 deg) plus the RPM's within range it should work if the knock circuit is OK which it is by no codes. Might now loo at a bit more timing under boost.

Do you have the right knock filter for the engine? The knock filtering does work but Its not fantastic. You would want to have a listen with knock ears to verify before adding more timing. I would not put complete trust in the knock filtering/logging.
