$12P Can't connect to 808 ECM.
$12P Can't connect to 808 ECM.
Hi all
I've got NVRAM chip and usb comms on 808 ECM. Have loaded the $12P bin onto DS1245Y chip. However trying to start the vehicle (VP V6) the fans come on. The code did verify after programming & had offset of 8000.
I cannot connect to ECM via Flashtool or from TunerPro OSE plugin. Here is a screen shot from TunerPro.
Maybe I have a few settings wrong??? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Re-reading guide says if $12P code is wrong then fans and CEL could be on.
I'll reprogram ds1245y and try again.
I'll reprogram ds1245y and try again.

I don't burn them with any offset. Just use the stacked bin in the zip download.

As above. Not sure if your hardware is genuine. Could also be faulty.

Ok, I'll try the stacked bin and see what happens.

Yes, genuine NVRAM and ds1245y chip. Bought from VL400 few years ago.
Anything that I can test on NVRAM for faults??

Should work then. As Dylan suggested burn the appropriate stacked bin. Also check comms board wiring, strange that it dies when you start, could be an electrical short somewhere. Is the write wire installed? Try removing the RW pin after an initial flash to rule out problems with the write wire.

Tried stacked bin, still didn't work. Fan comes on and engine runs really rough. No connection to ECM either.

Here is pic of NVRAM. Chip was out to get reprogrammed.

Can you post up pics of the nvram chip? I'd like to check its date code.
