Just received this email -
Effective February 16, 2018, the following subscription packages will be available at
www.acdelcotds.com:

A new $40 per vehicle subscription package will allow the shop/technician to purchase
access to program all modules for a specific vehicle/VIN. This allows a Technician to program all control modules on this vehicle for a 24-month period. This subscription replaces the 2-day access for $55 and is a $15 price reduction. The majority of repair facilities are currently using the 2-day access in this manner.

The Tech 2 diagnostics subscription will be updated to a one-time download for $249.
Thisreplaces the one-year access that was $750. Tech 2 diagnostics software for NorthAmerica was last updated in August 2013 due to GM migrating to the newer Global Diagnostics 2 scan tool software.

Enrollment in the subscription packages below ends on February 15, 2018, at 9:00 p.m., Eastern Time, as they are being discontinued. Current subscribers, and those who enroll before the deadline, will continue to have full access to their subscriptions until the expiration date:

-Complete GM Service Support Package ($3125)
-Tech 2 and Service Programming Package ($1395)
-Service programming subscription 3-month access ($275) and one-year access ($995)

If your subscription has not expired yet, you many renew early by February 15th and append time to your current subscription.

If you have any further questions you may contact your local ACDelco Representative or the eBusiness Helpdesk at 800-825-5886 Prompt #3

that $40 per vehicle/vin is a great option .... I know I've used it 3 times for the one car and used the 2 day subscription each time!

Sort of on this topic has anyone been able to update the map's in the GM range for the sat nav systems with SPS updates or is it only done by the dealer via CD or similar?

I have a customer that was quoted $350 from Holden Dealer to update maps in 2009 captiva & at that price there just going to get a standalone GPS unit!

That is good. The one off tech2 charge, if it includes tech2win, is good as well for those who want that functionality with a new MDI. Its more comparable to having a hardware tech2 which has no ongoing costs for diagnostics once you have it.

Well, they've now removed ALL SPS options except the per vin for $40 item. Too bad if you were a shop on the larger annual products..... https://www.acdelcotds.com/acdelco/action/subscribehome
If you were and if you can renew the older types and they work for you - do so. It looks like once they're gone they're gone.
