I don't mind admitting, this is a little confusing. The vehicle is a dedicated rally car and I'm not too concerned about how it runs under 3,000rpm as long as it's reasonable drivable. In the past I've just fitted a Microtech, which seems a hell of a lot easier (but more expensive). I've reduced all the VE values around the idle area by 10 and blended the rest in. That got rid of most of the black soot, but still very rich.
I've tried upping the idle to 1200rpm, but it seems to idle at 1200 for a while, slowly fall to around 600'ish then back to 1200. Anybody got a "tuning for dummies" guide.
I'll persevere, but that Microtech looks tempting.
