Re: 265 Hemi to efi
Have a look here .. https://www.driven2automotive.com/blog/ ... uel-pumps/
The copy I have seen didnt have the helicoil insert on the inlet. It worked ok still, was in a bosch box and looked legit from all the packaging.
Personally I am a fan of in tank pumps. So much quieter than the old '044, but they are a tried and tested design. Have used a proflow 340LPH but ran out of pump (pressure dropping around 5PSI from target under full load and 250LPH) and now using a Walbro 450 high output (part number is F9000274). These are newish to the market so maybe not copied so much yet. Got it from MTQ. You also need to calculate the flow requirement of pumps under boost, as fuel pressure increases the advertised LPH of a pump drops.

Thanks that’s a great reference. Hell how much horsepower is your motor putting out to run out of fuel at 250lph?

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Thanks I will keep for future reference. Got all the parts for the upgraded fuel system now
Re: 265 Hemi to efi
Got the VK turbo efi Ute passed for modified historic rego yesterday. Massive saving on rego now. I Couldn’t believe that it would get through and expected them to half laugh at me for trying. I had lots of interest at the club meeting, people were spinning out at the Delco/Holden/265 combo and people were bailing me up asking me all sorts of questions which at times I struggled to answer. People were asking me if I was a mechanic or an auto electrician and I said no I’m an accountant. Ha.
On another note the fuel system is completed and should easily cater for 400+ hp, but the turbo turns out to be too small and starts to spin too hard at around 3800 rpm, rear rear hp at this revs are 250. Hopefully I can modify the turbo I have or get something Similar but bigger otherwise the exhaust manifolds will need to be modified. I will put up some pics soon.

If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem
Re: 265 Hemi to efi
Don’t know but the compressor housing is tiny now that I compare it to other turbos on eBay. I’m guessing the housing is around 0.5 AR. I am taking it to a turbo place today to see if I can get a bigger compressor housing fitted.
