Cheers, i was thinking something similar along the lines of welding a bracket to the timing cover but I was going to buy a chopper wheel from here https://www.diyautotune.com/shop/sensor ... er-wheels/

got this wiring loom to a point it was time to start fitting up to a motor that can run for a test.
Fuel system is sorted, all the efi sensors except CTS are on there, and the crank trigger is ready to test, just need a few bits from supercheap auto for start button and some bungs.
hopefully in the next few days i can wind it over without plugs and see if i get a proper rpm trace in the logs, then i can pretty much try to run it.
I got an efi manifold a while back which came with a fuel rail that had -6 and -8 speedflow fittings already on it, so i had to work out a way to get a regulator connected, and the only one i had was the FX one, and as it turns out i also had a female to female -8 swivel adaptor in my speedflow spare parts so that made fitting it up pretty easy.
I've hacked into a stock balancer i had to get a chopper setup for testing, i know it wont be perfect but i want to test the theory, and also it means i can work out the crank angle and adjust it to get the right angle before i get a laser cut wheel made - but also for a test stand engine i don't really care how perfect it is, as long as it runs ok is all i need for testing.
once this is all running ok on the jackaroo ignition module and delco the plan is to remove the wiring loom and fit an LS1 computer and loom to it for some R&D

Ok so heres all the gorry saga..... below is the original crank trigger configuration, this pic is when i worked out i had used the wrong mark on the balancer for my slot locations....
motor is at TDC and the notch thats straight at the top should be around near the sensor
as you can see here i have tried a few different holes and such, and the end result to get it roughly right was to put it on this angle.
This is the offset i needed for the leads to get it to work as it was one cylinder out ..... its of note, if you put the coils in the right spots for the first three cylinders firing order (153624) then the only two out are 6 & 4 need to be reversed.
i have started on stage 2 while im waiting for the timing light to do anymore on the engine config ... also need to get a wideband bung on it.
