Really neat install and got the results they were after with 21PSI of boost running E85 and stock 1.3mm plug gaps.

That's a really clean install. I like the way they have made the coil boxes and protected the coils from radiant exhaust heat.

I'm now running Autolite 606 plugs gapped at .055" (1.397 mm) With Bosch leads and MSD 3rd gen coils on our L67 seeing about 11psi in the LIM with no misfires as far as I can tell. This way it runs better than the 1.0mm gap that most recommend with 10psi on the L67....

The1 is also seeing good improvement running n/a with larger than standard plug gaps and better than stock coils. Clearly there is an advantage to better/stronger spark plug gaps/coils for economy as long as you don't induce a high load/boost misfire.

One day I might try this setup with LS coils on the L67, with the current setup I was getting a idle miss on the old plugs that were over .060" (I stopped measuring at this point).

How did you calculate the max dwell time? For a 6cyl @ 500rpm with wasted spark I got 120msec ?

500RPM = 8.3 rev/sec = 120ms per rev

Max dwell for various 6 cyl setups...
Sequential with overlap = 240ms - 600us = 239.4ms
Wasted with overlap = 120 - 600us = 119.4ms
V6 DIS (wasted with no overlap) = (120/3) - 600us = 39.4ms

Overlap refers to a setup that can start charging the next coil before the current has fired. Most modern setups are capable of this. The Delco DIS is not :thumbdown:
The 600us is allowing for some time for the plug to fire, 600us is an average figure for this.

I thought it would be per cycle rather than per rev? so V6 DIS = 80msec - 600us = 79.4msec ?

A 6 cyl will have 6 spark events per cycle, not being able to overlap when dwell starts is what cuts the dwell time down to (240/6) - 600us = 39.4ms

The V6 DIS essentially operates like a single coil dizzy, it just divides the cycle in to 6 parts and electronically distributes spark. I guess you could also picture it as a 3 post distributor that runs at crank speed. Each post would feed two cylinders that are opposite in the firing order. So it fires two plugs at once, one on a power stroke and one on exhaust, and it fires each pair once per rev, only one of the pair is actually used to make power when fired.

I have acquired a used LSx Coil Driver module but unfortunately the the loom identification labels are missing. Is there an easy way to work out which is which?

In the instructions, there is a visual representation in relation to the button that you can see which loom is which
