This big ass 3 core radiator from a Dodge big block has solved my overheating issue. Took it for a run up the hill today and at the same spot where it was hitting 100 degrees it only just hit 90 degress. On the flat it sat on around 82 degrees which is not even running the fans. At the lights it would creep up over 86 and the fans turn on and it drops back down again. The shroud has not even been sealed all that well yet, I just put it in to see how it would go and all good so far.

Fortunately there a lots of things around a shed that can be used for bending steel if you use your imagination..

Hi all

I have a 245 hemi six that I can use for a test engine and was thinking about playing with one of the later model Delco setups that run sequential injection, say from a VT. Would this be possible to do and if so what would be some of the key points to consider regarding the conversion.

I don't know much about the V6 motors but I have seen VN's at the wreckers and see that they run crank triggers and coil packs. Does a VT need a cam trigger for the sequential timing? If so could I somehow run this off the hemi's distributor signal. Is it difficult to convert from the V6 to an inline 6 when using sequential. Don't really know much else but I reckon all the efi stuff could be got pretty cheap from upullit.

Cheers

I don't see why not but i don't see much benefit from sequential injection. it doesn't do much but slightly improve emissions at idle and low speed with a almost measurable improvement in smoothness. Above around 2k rpm both systems run like batch injection anyway.

Yes smoother idle and lower emissions at low rpm is all you get. With a big loping 6 you probably won't notice anything at all.

Different engine, but I see fairly big changes in fuel economy by changing that End Of Injection Timing on my 304. And adjusting this makes a huge difference to idle quality and stability.
If you can go sequential easily, do it.
