29EE010 Chip not listed in chip burner

Post by vHell83 »

I have purchased a few eeproms from here but they are not listed in my chip burner and my closest listing is 256kb vs 128kb what I need.

I used hxd to verify the files and they're way off.

Chip I have is 29EE010 and a gx 4x4 burner.

Closest listing is 29f002.

How do I proceed from here to burn the enhanced onto the eeproms?

According to its data sheet that 29EE chip has some kind of page erase function that is specific to that chip. If its not supported by the burner, your probably out of luck and will need to find another burner or another chip.

It looks like the minipro work (though the report here is that it doesnt work for someone) and the feedback here reports it works with this one too. https://www.eevblog.com/forum/blog/eevb ... eview/825/ https://www.aliexpress.com/i/32790021208.html

Yes. The adapter wasnt working properly and couldn't ID the chip hence not finding the exact name. Ended up working when i pried the memcal off the eeprom.

just a FYI my memcals for sale here now come with Greenliant 29EE010, they bought some rights to SST's discontinued production line and will continue SST's old chips marked as these. All the burners ive checked have support for the chip. You can read this in the datasheet.
