Re: Prolific based USB->Serial 8192 baud support
i'm thinking i might just shell out for a ftdi interface .... will be alot less hassles!
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

What is this device? Remove the physical devices, remove all drivers. Make sure that they are deleted (insert the device. The system should indicate that "unknown device found"). Again, physically remove the device and try to install the driver. The device must necessarily be defined as Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port.
ftdi interface - is very good, but the topic for discussion ProlificHolden202 wrote:i'm thinking i might just shell out for a ftdi interface .... will be alot less hassles!

Re: Prolific based USB->Serial 8192 baud support
well i got given an old spare usb -> serial adaptor, plugged it in and it detected at prolific and all the info here works for getting logging and tuning happening, so i'd say i should drop kick my old device!

Try instead of SerialMonitor this (https://www.virtual-serial-port.org/pro ... almonitor/) tool will be more convenient. In such systems, the message is usually duplicated. Monitoring from the side of the console would greatly facilitate the task.
Re: Prolific based USB->Serial 8192 baud support
Why tell us about this software that doesn't even support 8192 baud?
