From memory it’s dizzy Vp harness

Red = White/black
Green = light blue/white
Black = grey/red
Blue is not needed on vp.
Dazzle should sort you out.

Thanks mate,
Looks good the only thing I’m not sure on is the black wire... thought a couple of people said the black isn’t used from the vs dizzy loom.... cheers mate that’s helpful..

not sure if you have vs series 3/vt maf sensor engine or not without more pics.

1st pic looks like sequential plug...2nd pic need to look at shape of plug to see if you need vn/p or later vr/s plug or dissy to suit.

Usually if you have vn/p dissy or harness with vr/s opposite just change plug to match...can buy off efihardware.com last time i checked.

The o2 sensor just get correct one you need.

Got early blue plug dissy should be vn/p & black plug usually later vr/s but that all changes if aftermarket.

Black wire most like earth to back of head grouped with others

Hi guys,

Another question in regard to the air temp sensor and o2 sensor wires - I’m sorting the loom out and found 3 wires to the sensor plug - 1 is a power supply(purple wire) then a blue one that runs to a rectangle plug (see pic) then an orange one that runs back into the loom - can some tell me how this all Works (that rectangular plug doesn’t go to anything that I have) and the purple wire in last pic is o2 wire?
Thanks

the 3 pin round plug is for the oil pressure sensor, i normally dont use, but if you wanted to use it for the oil pressure light you can by using the blue wire, the orange and purple are to allow the fuel pump to run once there is oil pressure.

most of the wires in the rectangle grey plug are for things like a/c fuel pump and fans to control relays, as that plug connects to the relay box in a commodore engine bay.

this might help you for a basic stand alone loom to get it running.

so in other news last night i got to test this thing, wound it over with no plugs, couldn't get an rpm trace in the logs, fiddled with the crank sensor to no avail, got an abs sensor i had spare and sure enough it works, so i modified my bracket to use it, so i now have a nice solid 200rpm cranking trace.

the next step was to put a timing light on it to see if the crank notches ere anywhere near close, but of course my timing light just up and died so i cant do that.

i was hoping i could just fire it up and see if it ran at all ok, but of course the fuel pump doesnt work anymore either!!!

that was stumps and beer o'clock for the night (and shut the shed in disgust!)

so i have a new timing light on order, and in the mean time i am going to fit up the FX tank and lift pum which is an 044 so should be plenty lol

hopefully running vid later!
