yeah he is, i bought my stud girdle and oil pump adaptor off him.
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

nice setup, is that a magnetic or hall effect sensor you are using?

Yes magnetic - VS commodore ABS wheel sensor

Can the delco 808 be made to work with a 36T wheel or is the 6T + missing tooth the only option. Also I assume waste spark only is available, no coil on plug?

Re: How to convert a 202 to Delco
the base part of the coil pack is where the brains is, it takes the pulses from the crank trigger and then from that its logic works out which order to fire the coils, all the delco does it gets a signal from it and uses that to control spark advance.
to run a 36 - 1 trigger you'd need an aftermarket ignition module like the one VL400 makes which has the logic to work out the trigger pattern and convert it into a usable signal for the delco.
this coil pack base is from a jackaroo, or us model car, it only needs a 6 + 1 trigger, whereas the commodore v6 coil pack base needs the more complex 18 x and 3 x triggers in the balancer.
and yes its wasted spark only, but that said, this is still a far far better setup on a 202 compared to a dizzy and single coil.

Thanks for that, some options to look in to. I do like the 6+1 wheel though. Should be easy enough to do on a lathe with an indexing wheel and a grinder with cut off disk mounted on tool post.

Re: How to convert a 202 to Delco
i wouldn't recommend machining the balancer for a few reasons:
1. its hard to get the sensor close enough without the fan belt rubbing on it
2. the outer part of the balancer is actually able to spin on a 202 balancer so would eventually offset timing to the point it might not run.
if you are referring to cutting a wheel larger than the balancer then that is ok!
i've used the 36 - 1 trigger just larger than the balancer and it works very well, if you did the 6 + 1 one the same it should be sweet.
if you didn't want to make your own, you can get a kit from here https://sonicinjection.com.au/product/t ... olden-202/

Yeah I won't be using the factory balancer, they are junk. I plan to use either a romac or ati balancer with seperate trigger disc.
What is that serpentine pulley you are using from?
Also not sure whether to go for magnetic or hall effect sensor. From what I have read magnetic is easier to setup but may suffer from noise/interference issues. Most after market wheels seem to be magnetic yet the factory such as LS1, delco etc use hall effect.

Re: How to convert a 202 to Delco
the pulley is just a 6 inch unit from a chev that i found on summit racings website, i then got the balancer machined to accept its grove, and re-drilled the pulley to suit the balancer bolt holes.
