265 Hemi to efi
Re: 265 Hemi to efi
Nice, is it just me or is MSD just crap these days ?
Re: 265 Hemi to efi
This was an older MSD box and there were other circumstances that contributed to its downfall. I will add pics later when I get the dizzy cap back from the tuner.

I’m not sure. I reversed it into the dyno room all good and next morning no starty. Lucky I made it there in the first place. Apparently the carbon bit in the dizzy cap had completely disintegrated and the spark had been jumping a long way and that may have led to its downfall. I guess the dizzy cap wasn’t up to the punishment of the MSD.delcowizzid wrote:Did it just shut off if it's a 6al probably blew the internal fuse
Re: 265 Hemi to efi
I’ve been working on straightening out the original tailgate that had been thrashed from being a farm Ute. It will be reskinned so I have a chance to work from inside. I had the bend the frame back into shape by supporting the outer frame on bricks and me jumping on the centre support panel of the inner frame. Then I had to start working on the inner ‘ribs’. It might not look like I have got far but there is about 6 hours on those ribs alone. The idea is to have a near full metal finish.

I don't think so. I think you'll find an issue with the phasing with the rotor and the cap posts unless the MSD is continuing to fire as the gap gets bigger with rotation. Can you set the number of ign pulses the MSD puts out? I know very little about them except that they can cause serious crossfiring if all is not well.

good work on the tail gate, it certainly has seen better days!
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!
