should i change my comanded AFR table to be the same as in the spreadsheet Air fuel ratio table? my current comanded AFR is a lot richer because i played with it. I was trying to get the motor sounding good by ear, trying to get the annoying pop out of exhaust at 14.7

also keep an eye on injector duty cycle high rpms at wot... with an injector rate > 0.15 and a VE cell of 99 you are going to be gettin close to 100% Duty cycle, those blue tops may not be enough even N/A....

and no, you should put commanded AFR to the stock table, then you adjust your VE to richen it up till the wideband stops popping. really, the idea is to leave commanded AFR table stock ish, then always look at your wideband for AFR. if its too lean move VE dont touch commanded AFR.

I've got a new laptop screen on the way... I accidently broke mine (poxy plastic toshiba) so I am saddled up in the car with an extension cord running into the car so i can run my big ass external moniter hooked up to my laptop so i can see.

To get the log, I had to set it up in record, then drag the cords and big screen out onto the grass then went for a drive and put the moniter back in and then stop recording... Pain in the butt. So i couldn't watch the laptop while i was driving.. just hoped it was still recording.

I was watching the wideband in the car pretty close when i was giving it to it. If I max out the injectors, I should see a drop in AFR on the wideband shouldn't i?

Thanks guys

yeah if you max injectors it will go lean, but a drop in AFR could just mean a badly calibrated VE cell..... best way to tell is just look at injector duty cycle in the log after you play it back...

I can see why a dyno would make his job a lo easier, I am pretty sure i need more spark but not sure how much. just felt a bi gutless today, still spinning wheels everywhere but I know it's got more to come. Do you guys adjust your own spark by a couple degrees at a time over the whole map. or how do you's do it without a dyno.

Do you just say increses a whole map line and go till she pings then look for the ping in the log and take a couple degree off at that point? can you see the ping on the log?

its not that hard really i turn all closed loop totally off start car hold it in every cell i can get on the spot and raise ve table untill the engine sings move to next cell do the same gets most of the lower area close enough for blm's to correct fast can do exactly the same with spark hold foot in one place and change cell value untill it frees up and sings and dont go any further doesnt take long to be tuned enough to get on the street and driving with a driver and the laptop once you have a general shape of a ve table its pretty easy to guess the higher map areas to get it close enough.i made all my boost tables inside on my armchair and got pretty close was good enough to boost 1000km home after fitting my turbo kit LOL
