WHICH WIDEBAND CONTROLER/ GUAGE
Re: WHICH WIDEBAND CONTROLER/ GUAGE
Does anyone have an opinion on the 14point7 SLC OEM?
The Eval kit seems pretty good for the price, I'm thinking of getting one unless there's a good reason not to?

Re: WHICH WIDEBAND CONTROLER/ GUAGE
Ive noticed the 14 point 7 seems to be somewhat of a product evolution, and so i assume it would be as good as if not better than my naw7s which works fine, though the pc config and logging software is not fantastic.when logging via delco on pc or reading the lcd display its fine. Maybe download the manual and software for a look first, take it from there.

Re: WHICH WIDEBAND CONTROLER/ GUAGE
i dont know if he will sell you the OEM unit its made to go inside an ecu with another special board your better off getting a standalone SLC nonOEM version
If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem
Re: WHICH WIDEBAND CONTROLER/ GUAGE
The Eval kit contains the OEM board, the sensor and wiring, carrier board and case.
At US$125, it seems like a pretty good deal.
From the website:
"The eval kit makes it easy to test and evaluate SLC OEM. The eval kit is also suitable to be used as an easy to build low cost Lambda Controller.
The Eval kit is 100% complete, no addition parts are required."

Re: WHICH WIDEBAND CONTROLER/ GUAGE
The Tech edge unit cost me $315 posted from NSW to VIC. Included 2J9, LSU 4.9 sensor, long cable to sensor and RS232- USB cable.
All I had to spend on after that was a connection to power supply. I got alligator clips and go straight from the car battery with an inline 5 amp fuse but a mate of mine uses one plugged into the cigarette lighter socket with no issues either. The power cable itself is supplied but it's only the connection method and a 5amp fuse you need to buy after the fact.
I haven't used any other widebands except dyno room ones and am really happy with this one. Have it all sorted to use with TP wb integration no probs after a bit of advice on here

Re: WHICH WIDEBAND CONTROLER/ GUAGE
Nah, I run it on the same screen as tuner pro. when I tune kalmaker I do have to use 2 laptops as kalmaker takes over the laptop it's on which is a bit crappy. Not doing much on the street with kalmaker anyway so a wideband is really more useful for TP as it's integrated to the softwarefelsy wrote:so krusty you didnt bother getting a guage withe the tech edge kit?krusty wrote:The Tech edge unit cost me $315 posted from NSW to VIC. Gee that makes the innovate tested sound like a really good option. I think my next wideband o2 might be an innovate. Pitty it didnt cover the 14point7 stuff, but I guess it wasnt around in 2007!
It would have been interesting if they shared the same sensor one after the other with the calibrated gas and the different units, or different sensors with the same unit to compare sensor accuracy as shipped from the factory.
