The original poster of that thread is a member on here so might be able to chime in with some more info. Although it was 11 years ago 
ISO9141 = K-Line for data. Should be able to log some data from it in TP but will need to develop an ADX. This is also k-line but does not conform to the normal frames for logging data .. https://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopi ... =10&t=1446
