Can the MS do real time?

The ms3 is real time, I believe the MS1 was pretty clunky but i've only delt with the ms2 and ms3 versions. Its not a bad system but the cost of the ms3 with all the addons gets up there $500+

People say they are good and cheap, not sure about the cheap part lol.

I was just saying in your pic the MS3 is huge, I always thought the were smaller than the delco by a little.

i'd be interested to see how your costs compare between the delco realtime and the MS3!

As for cost, I cant see you getting a Delco setup for much less than $500

well I guess if the price is similar or even a tad more its worth it for the extra benefits surely.

For the price of the MS units you get nice ecu with alot of features at a reasonable price. With the delco hardware and software developed here its a awesome package that is cost effective and has great features.

The last MS3 that I purchased cost about $555 plus a day for assembly of the kit.

V3 pcb, processor card and case $380
MSX expansion $90
Freight $50
MSX connector $5
Software $30

So far the Delco setup has cost around $350 this has included GQ-4x programmer, dodgy uv box, VL400's NVRAM and 808 usb comms. The 808 and Pulsar wiring loom I scored for free:). The advantage you have with the Delco system is that once you have the gear the cost to setup another unit is bugger all, another ecu and a loom plus the sensors and your good to go again.

The MS3x certainly grows in height after the add on board is installed! Will be very keen to know how you find the change to a Delco, being able to compare an aftermarket with different features (both hardware and software) will be a really interesting comparison.

I agree there is a definite advantage to being able to use one realtime kit in many cars then burn the tune to normal memcal once done! I have done this many times! iguess the cost of what you've done is fairly typical of your average starting point, then after that comes the nice to haves like logger, igniton module etc.... that's where the costs add up
