Knock control is off by default on V8 cals ("ESC params - Coolant temp to enable knock control" set to 151*C). The counts are just due to having no knock filter on the memcal so will display 220 odd counts all the time.

Been looking to get a wideband O2 sensor. I have come across these on ebay and wondering if i could replace my narrowband O2 sensor with this and get the both narrow and wide band output from the one sensor. Would this save me having to add another socket to the exhaust to install a wideband sensor.

Has anyone played with one of these?

you should be able to simulate narrow band output with the analog outputs aslong as you can program it to work over a 0-1v range.

most devices have this functionality but i have never used it for that personally, my cars just all have 2 bungs usually :)

it has 2 outputs. 0-5v for your wide band and 0-1v for your narrow. I like i because is a small unit. Most come with a gauge which i don't really have a need for.

Whats the general rule for your wideband bung. Do you usually mount it further down the headers? Or just before the cats?

What brands do most people use for a wideband sensors?

i generally don't have a specific distance other than after the last collector etc so its measuring all the cylinders ... i use innovate widebands and they all use Bosch sensors.
