cheers cobber,

I have a USB datalogging cable that I have been using to log on my L67 VT with TunerPro.... will it work on the VL aswell? Do they have the same plug?

No, the vl ecu doesnt have any datalogging. You need to listen for pinging (and/or keep the spark reasonably conservative), and keep an eye on a wideband display for fueling. It'll be rough. But there you go. Proper tuning shops probably hook up extra hardware to their dyno for logging purposes, but its not something ive done.

Maybe someone can suggest a spark map that wont destroy a NA compression engine? I dont know if the injectors and MAF are the same between turbo and NA. I think they are, though?
Have you read the FAQ? For lots of information and links to significant threads see here: http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1396

sorry im a bit confused now....

so i upload the turbo bin onto a chip which i then have to solder onto the ECU. Correct?

I have no idea how to change spark or fuelling... ive had a look at thiose tables in TunerPro and all i got was a headache lol.

Pretty sure the MAF is the same... just the turbo motor has bigger injectors

compare the vl n/a bin to the turbo bin and see the spark difference will give you an idea.i know jayme messed round with a vl turbo at one stage
If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem

Using an EPROM programmer. Socket the ECU and can then remove the chip to makes changes and reinstall, or use a EPROM emulator.
