Methanol is cheaper than petrol here

I've always wondered why people say this?
The static CR number means absolutely nothing without knowing the cam specs. It's all about the dynamic CR ratio.

true! forgot about that.
I heard some really shit engine combos where the static was 9:1 but dynamic was around 4:1 lol.

Well dry comp test with all plugs out shows 210psi on all 6 with a moderate cam, and yes methanol may be cheaper but it certainly doesn't go as far as 98 hahah

That is certainly getting up there. Be gentle with the timing advance curve.

Yupp gonna have to go pretty easy on it :/ do you think a stock APNX tune will be too aggressive to get a few logs? Or should I drop a few degrees off the high kpa cells?

yeah, APNX is way aggressive on something with CR like yours.
try BLCD, for VR with 9:1 so its the tamest of the pre ecotec tunes.

I'd be dropping timing through the whole map.

Have you got new head gaskets yet ? Can you get thicker ones ? Could be worth it as you can put more advance in it with less comp and it all runs safer and you'll prob make more power as well

I have a BLCF and APNX bin on my NVRAM Now and just deciding which one to use I may be better off using the BLCF tune to start with, people were saying that the APNX would be better off on a S1 but I presume this is because of the lower comp compared to S2? I think I'll start off with BLCF and change the injector rate and add a little fuel to VE and AE untill I get a Bung welded in for Wideband, would you guys just replace the stock 02 sensor with a wideband and use the narrowband output on the controller back to the ECU? Or run it standalone? Only reason I bring this up is because the extractors I have only reads from one bank, would I be better off welding a bung in at the Y-piece merge just before cat? Or is this too far from the engine?
Thanks for the help guys I'm slowly getting there
