I used to get code 24 after starting, sitting idle for few sec. Not driving anywhere. Manual as well.

I wonder if it does have something to do with tps voltage, as sometimes the tcc seems like its staying engaged coming to a stop. i reset ecu today, seemed to reset some of the tune also as closep loop somehow decided it would start working and commanding 14.6 in areas ive otherwise set to 14.00. drove it about 50kmh.
Hit a 100 kmh and no CEL. hooked it up to laptop on way back. still no code 24. put foot down and got wheels to break traction into second and still nothing.
So it seems im going to have to just keep watch on that CEL on motorways and just keep an eye on what im doing when it happens.

The throttle being stuck on decel will be because theres no usable VSS signal at the computer at the time so it doesnt know your slowing down and doesnt do the deceleration stuff it normally would. I reckon you have a physical problem somewhere on your vss wiring or vss sensor. If you log the car while driving it you should be able to use the monitor modes in TP to show the speed, and I reckon you'll see it drop to 0 from time to time when it plays up.

I might add that on my bother's vp its speedo was dropping out once over 90ks. Turned out to be a blown fuse that feeds power to the VSS, Interesting part is the fact it still made the speedo work up to 90ks, probably from some sort of weak signal generated by the magnet in the hall sensor enough to trigger a reading. Took me ages to work it out until I noticed some other accessories on that same fuse didn't work.


Worth checking out the VSS power at the sensor.


Also on a VP wagon the speedo still worked and when I saw the VSS when stripping it, only one wire was even intact. Got me beat to how it still worked. I never got it over 80 though so I never saw it drop out. 80 is all I could do in the front yard lol.
