Ok next In line in this series is the 1957 Bendix Electrojector.Available as a $400us option on some pretty expensive metal - $4000+usd in 1957 for a vehicle is pretty heady money..
Depending on which sources you believe It was fitted to some 20-50 chrysler vehicles.Unfortunately the combination of shaking under an automotive bonnet and waxpaper capacitors in the ecu caused a callback of most systems from the field and replacing them with carbies. Two or maybe three systems survive in the wild with one being restored back to working order.
The system was a very simple map based one, crude but kinda backtothefuture likeImage
(No to those who are thinking, the DMC Delorean uses Bosch Kjetronic-all mechanical-but still pretty interesting)
which in most ways was only really built for v8's;not really adaptable to other engine configurations
Heres some efi pron: Image Image
There is an interesting article from Hemmings motor news magazine on the resto of the functioning electrojector - a Yank mag that is decent enough http://www.allpar.com/cars/desoto/electrojector.html
and some scans of the training documents for service departments which IMO is rather cool https://www.allpar.com/chrysler-literat ... /index.php
The next time we'll see a bendix system in the wild is in 1975-79 model chevrolet vega as an option as well as 75-79 caddilac v8's which I'll touch on in the next post.
And yesyes I'll eventually get to the bosch D,jetronic, one of my favorites:)

Kjet was used on Volvo's in 4cyl and 6cyl configuration and bosch catalogue lists one for v12
you can block off ports in the fuel distributor housingand use it on a 3 ,2 or single cylinder if you realy want to play with one
