Yeah have to pull the nvram off the board be very careful the legs are weak compared to eprom legs pry each end up a little at a time till it's out don't just try pull it out it ends badly lol.i fit a 32pin machined pin socket onto the nvram so you can take them in and out easier without damage but the lid may not fit on the ecu.once it's out burn the stacked bin out of the 11p zip folder
If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem

so does it come off without having to unsolder it ie does it seperate or is is a matter of having to unpick it from the solder?

Should be socketed to the board and fully removable for programming
If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem

Just if your pulling in it and one end let's go it bends the legs on the other end badly lol

Copy that, once I geeeeeeeently remove it does it have to be uv erased?

Nope it programs without erasing I presume your programmer does dallas ds1245y chips

He has a GQ4X4 from me, so yes it will.

Make sure you position the NVRAM with the correct orientation otherwise the smoke will escape :thumbup:

and which way is the right way mate???? id lik the smoke to stay in captivity at this stage
