As Holden202 said, will eventually fit SC14 blower. anyway $12P 2 bar bin with a 2 bar MAP should still work on n/a motor. believe 2 bar bin scales MAP outout voltage & therefore MAP values to equate to 1 bar MAP, VL400 would be able to provide the details. but the outcome should be that the car runs as normal with 2 bar MAP & 2 BAR bin whether it has a blower fitted or not.

still need help to understand the changing AFR with change in engine load issue.

can you upload a log with some 1 and 2 bar stuff in it to show what your seeing, i don't quite follow .....

either way the target AFR should match whats in the Map A: 20-100kPa Air Fuel ratio vs RPM and MAP or Map B: 20-100kPa Air Fuel ratio vs RPM and MAP (depending if you are using the map switching or not) depending on map reading and rpms.

to really properly compare between 1 and 2 bar you need to be able to get two similar tests with each sensor ... eg.

1bar sensor .... put it in drive, foot on the brake, and say increase throttle till it gets to 100kpa .... (without breaking traction) note tps position rpms map value and target AFR .....

then do the same thing with the 2 bar sensor installed and bin set for 2 bar etc.... then get the engine to the same tps, kpa and rpm and see if the afr target is the same .... there is no reason why it should be different ....

if it is then do some logs with the 2 bar say 40-60-80-100kpa increments and note the map voltage at each point, post that up along with details of how you did the test .....

i have a 2 and 3 bar map sensor i can easily install into my gemini and test what voltages i get at those settings compared to your DIY sensor .... if we can confirm yours are the same voltages then its possible there is an issue in the bin ....

i'd also be interested to hear from wake77 as i believe hes used $12P on his turboed 355 with 2 and/or 3 bar sensors.

will be doing more logging but early analysis of a couple of logs from 1 & 2 bar setups indicates that with 2 bar MAP & bin setup MAP value exceeding 60kPa causes the system drops out of closed loop & AFR other than 14.7 come into play. have a log from 1 bar MAP & bin that shows MAP values > 65kPA & this does not force system out of closed loop, AFR remains 14.7. car performance with 2 bar MAP & bin goes flat, too rich, when heavy load applied, symptoms that seem to correlate with open loop & reach AFR triggered by high MAP value ie >60kPa. general cruise with 2 bar setup seems ok.

well that certainly sounds like its in the wrong load point to what it needs to be, weather its a problem with your sensor calibration or $12P is what needs to be determined ....

like i said, above do those tests and see what results you get.

have posted 1 bar & 2 bar TP5 logs from "uncontolled" tests but they demonstate my problem. Have included the adx file also, "controlled" test logs to follow.

have you been using the seperate 1 bar and 2 bar adx files for logging im led to beleive theres 2 different ones one for each

have looked at 2 bar adx file & only difference appeared to be that unscaled MAP & some other parameter values have been dropped/changed. would not expect the logged data I am looking at, MAP value, target AFR etc, to be affected.

well the main difference in the adx's is the map info .... voltages should be un-effected but the map stuff will be whats different.

ok well i did some testing with my 2 bar sensor, with the engine off the 2 bar reads 106kpa .... then as i pump compressed air into the sensor it increases from that up to 200kpa

i did notice with the engine running it was 30kpa when with the 1 bar it was 30kpa ... but that could just be difference in rpm and temp etc .....

have also used the 1bar &2bar adx files & get the same result. all the TP5 adx files are presenting the same AFR data & MAP data, only change for 2bar adx I can see regarding MAP values is simply to drop "actual" and use scaled values. changing AFR (loss of closed loop) with MAP values > 65kPa still occurs with 2 bar bin.

the actual & scaled MAP voltages & values, & AFR values all appear to be within normal bounds just the 2 bar bin the change from 14.7 to 13.4 etc is odd. VL400 has commented that the scaled MAP values for 1 bar & 2 bar setups should give the same reading & they do for my 1 & 2 bar logs.
