Ok cool. I have another one of those too so perhaps will need to do some future testing on it.

Pretty sure E67 is CAN not VPW, whole nether ball game!

Hmm ok, I looked at some E67 pinout diagrams a bit more: E67 has 2 pins (+/-) assigned to High Speed GMLAN Serial Data Bus and a separate pin for Class 2 Serial. I believe HS GMLAN = CAN, is Class 2 Serial considered VPW? If not, then I'm mixing up terminologies and apologize for the confusion here!

Yes class 2 is VPW. https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/152014
Class 2 is the term used by General Motors (GM) for its implementation of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) J1850 specification for Class B (medium-speed) serial data communications. Class 2 operates at an average speed of 10.4 kbit/s and uses an encoding scheme known as variable pulse width (VPW) modulation, transmitted on a single wire medium. The silicon which GM uses is being developed by Delco Electronics Corporation and is called the data link controller (DLC). The authors discuss the attributes of General Motors' class 2 bus and how it relates to SAE J1850. The DLC and some of its features as well as the GM message structure are also discussed.

Update. I have pulled some flip-chips from the P12 PCM and observed them under a microscope. I haven't taken pics of the other chips yet, however this is the most complex flip-chip on the board.

So where is the simple P12 bench harness diagram or description ??
Also need same for E67.

All I see is a pdf of the connector pin outs ... Not a bench harness diagram or description!

I guess I'm not sure what you mean by a bench diagram, and what description? I made my setup using these pinouts. Also did the same for the P01, P59 (which I use the same connector), and the P10. Please, someone explain to me what the confusion is.

For P12 bench harness all wires are to the blue connector.

7 is ground
20 is battery
18 and 19 is 12v switched (18 = accessories, 19=ignition)
15 is vpw
(1 is can+ and 2 is can- but we dont use those).

E67 is:

Black 23 is ground
Blue 20 is 12v battery
Back 13, 18, 19 is 12v switched
Grey 53 is can+
Grey 33 is can-
