I believe that's what ticking the MT flag will do,
There will also be flags to enable processing of the code (if the PCM actually checks the conditions to set the code), and another flag to turn on the engine light if the code is set. So a set of flags for each individual DTC (not just a single one).

I haven't done a lot with VY, but last time I looked I couldn't find any XDF's getting around with many or any of these flags defined for the flash based PCM's. I think the enhanced mod code and XDF had a few defined, but not all of them. Certainly not as much defined as 11P / 12P.

There has been a bit of activity from Wade very recently, maybe check out his latest XDF to see what's in there now:

I'm guessing the traction control stops working once you switch on the manual flag, as the PCM now flags itself as a manual trans in thr ALDL chatter it transmits. I wonder if another option would be to just fit a manual ABS module, and if it would "just work".

Yeah right, I think I understand, this method would be the ideal solution for sure, no need to stuff around with trying to emulate a gearbox haha. You would be able to leave 1 or 2 of them enabled if you wanted to use a relay for the reverse lockout as well.

I would be interested to know if The1 is using factory code or wrote something himself when he made the enhanced bins, regarding the MT Flag. Remember the L67 never came with a manual option in any form, I find it hard to believe that Holden would've included a configuration for a manual variant.

The L67 tune will just be a variant of the stock N/A tune so the flags will be there.

The only fully defined L67 tune that I'm aware off is the one for the VS L67. These never had traction control however so not sure if it has the relevant settings

Ideally you'd need to have someone define all the various DTC flags for the auto trans, another option would be to save 2 bins of the VY L67 tune, one with the MT flag set and the other without and then do a bin comparison too see all the changes made.

Mt is just a flag, only a single bit and the checksum will change, if its defined.

That's what I did, uncheck all the DTC process codes. 11P does not have a manual mode so that's what needs to be done. However, I never considered traction control side of things, I wasn't even aware they had traction control, thought it was more of a VE onwards thing.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.

But if you set the MT flag won't it automatically disable all the auto DTC's so all those bits will also change automatically?

All the flags bits for DTC's would stay the same. But the trans codes wouldn't be checked / logged as the PCM would operate in "Manual Mode".

If you leave the manual flag unset, and mask all the DTC's, the PCM still thinks its an auto. And the ABS/traction control would think it's auto. It would still be trying to operate all the shift solenoids etc. Just every time it goes to check code conditions, eg. A shift aolenoid open circuit, it would skip over it and ignore it because of the DTC flag.

Here is the most recent xdf. not sure if its got everything defined that you guys are after, but its still a work in progress.

I know there’s still a lot to be added even with the vy flash xdf. I’ve pretty much ported over all the transmission stuff from vy to vx as well and sent that xdf over to The1. So that should be up soon.
