the xdf is the definition for the bin. bin without xdf will have nothing to change in tunerpro. load the xdf and then tunerpro what is where and how to interpret the data. thats why it has to match.
you can download a bin, edit then upload. and you can use realtime and edit and have the changes go through as you are doing it. offline is good for where you have some data and you want to get it all right before starting the engine. realtime is good for tweaking things like injector rate so you can watch your wideband and adjust something and see the results as you do it.

I’m in I uploaded my bin and a VN V8 Xdf I can view all the tables etc finally still a bit unclear if I’m doing it right but I’ll keep tinkering. Curious in the bins folder there is $5D, $B1 & $DB then there’s sub folders with different files and same with the XDFs does it matter which uni use? Is there a way to see exactly what’s been uploaded to my NVRAM or doesn’t it not matter to much. I’m 99% sure it’ll be VN V8 as I advised Garth 304 trimatic so VN V8 would be most suitable. Thanks guys appreciate all the advice.

yes you have to use 12p bin and therefore 12p xdf and adx on the NVRAM. Its the latest factory operating system for that computer, so does everything the other and older ones can and has more features and fewer or no bugs.
Those other ones do not support realtime or high speed ALDL communications and should not be used. You'll probably need a chip programmer to recover if you try it.
Use only the base calibrations in the 12p zip file. They represent the latest and best factory calibrations for the engines that computer was used on from factory. There are 3 files, one for Series 1 V6, Series 1.5 and newer V6 and 5.0L V8.

Yeah that all makes sense just wondered why there were different things I downloaded a whole bunch of commodore bins and xdfs off of here in a bulk lot. The above was all in the VN v8 folder. Cheers

that is for people that dont have nvrams and want to edit stock memcals the slow and original way with offline edits and in a chip programmer.

Ok that makes sense so is it the $5D that suits the nvram? That’s what I used cause it was top of the list and worked lol.

Nope.
Just open Tunerpro, load the XDF - OSE12P V112 - 1,2 and 3 bar.xdf,
then the BIN - OSE $12P V112 BLCF V8,
and ADX - OSE_$12PV112_1BAR - Petrol.adx
All these files can be found in the OSE12p (12P) zip package which you can download from the page:
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1396
These files are all that you need to get started.
