A few things I will have to look over the next time both those cars come in.

What is weird is that VX is untouched, completely stock and did it as well.
Dyno graph reflects it and can feel it on the road.
So the pcm crashing/resetting makes sense and or everything dropping to the 50mgc causing it too

RFI is a possible cause worth looking into. Had this issue myself(VT V8) while chasing another issue that turned out to be a dud maf. I moved the wiring harness that sits over the alternator and runs to the maf and tps. The harness was now sitting more towards the back of the alternator. This caused the tps data to drop out(data was good while engine was off and ignition on). I moved harness back to original position and the problem was solved. So RFI can be an issue. Strange how you're have the same problem on 2 different stock vehicles. Dirty mafs perhaps?

The VX was stock, the VT has a full exhaust and been manual converted.
I'll have a look at the harness's and locations and see what I cand find
Cheers!

Fun times, had a VX do it now 😅
Except it was all readings, and had a false limiter when it happened.
Time to dig further on what it is!
