Awesome! Did you wanna sell a trigger wheel? Will need to investigate the sensor mounting and how that can be done, not much room on the front oil pump cover.

Thanks for the pics, really shows what a challenge it was to get the triggers setup! Nicely done. The biggest issue on the 1UZ i think is the lack of meat in the timing cover.

For others, this is what the crank trigger on a 1UZ looks like....

I had a crazy idea for a really simple solution - I think!

After reading the thread here I thought why not use a D1927A 4 cyl DIS module. Instead of dual pole coils for a wasted spark 4cyl use two regular coils and feed the factory dizzies. The crank trigger needs to be basically double what the normal setup has, so two sync events for each crank rotation. The dizzies take care of which cyl to fire, all I need is for the ignition module to alternate the coils firing.

The disadvantage though is running a 4 Cyl DIS at double the RPM it was designed for and still have the dizzes which would be nice to get rid of.

Crazy idea?

Dunno, but that is my concern as at 6500RPM its like running a 4 cyl at 13k RPM.

Here is some more info...

me thinking out side of the box
why not fit two 4 cyl units one each side two crank trigger wheel and pickups one for each side and wire them together and adjust the bin for 8 cyl
then thinking about it the 808 may not like the load of two units
may be able to get away with one trigger wheel and two sensors setup for each bank
just a thought
