I've been thinking that for years but a lot of tuners I went too were pushing me towards a haltech.

i agree with Jayme, i have no reason not to use a delco, theres nothing it hasn't been able to do for me so far!

yeah as someone who knows how to tune, I will take a tunable factory ecu over an aftermarket every single time. even to the point where I would rather put a delco 808 on a carby > injeciton conversion than use somehting aftermarket, simply because the software and hardware is all 100% proven realible and cheap to replace. and as holden202 said, im yet to find something an 808 with 12P cant do that I need. but if you dont tune it yourself, then you do need to stick with what your tuner knows a lot of the time. if they are most comfortable with a haltech, then they are going to give you the best results and most power on a haltech. that being said, a lot of dyno operators and tuners make a lot of money if they manage to convince you to buy a haltech or other aftermarket ecu off them, so sometimes its less about what they know and more about how much money they can extract from you!

I've been planing lately too tune it myself, it's my project car and I've been playing with for 12 years and have owned it for 21 so I have plenty of time too learn and not in a rush. I decided years ago too use a commodore ecu ands it's taken me this long too find people like all of you that can show me how too do it.

perhaps it worth banding together to help each other out when we do want to tune on a dyno or seat of the pants.

So those with experience in a local area could help out those who are new at it. If people know dyno places where you can help each other tune cars on the delco, that would be pretty good too.

That is why I went delco too, the factory code is highly developed and featured packed. The reliability of the hardware is 2nd to none too.

How long did it take for delivery of the trigger wheel from DIY Holden202T? Getting egger too fit it.

Wheel arrived today so I've done a mockup fit and can see the sensor bracket needs to be shorter.
