Can be as it has shorter wavelengths than what we get from the sun due to earths atmosphere blocking them.
welding generates a very broad spectrum of electromagnetic waves, from radio all the way to some x rays.

Ford rust isn't quick enough to jump on to a Holden, and we all know Holden's don't rust

yep. holdens don't rust. MUCH.

um, those rods I had for the TIG are carbon steel it turns out.
i ordered some stainless ones today

the carbon ones are 1.6
the stainless ones i got are 1.2

only if they are submerged in the sea or sulfuric acid.
fords rust as they get built in the factory. There is truth to the last statement seeing how many brand new fords have rusted out in weeks of purchase as of late.

What are carbon rods used for?
Hey, while im at it, ive got a question for HQ. I brought a race port bov for my VL, it came with an alloy V band weld on, my piping is steel, i ordered a stainless weld on today. Will that work with the stainless rods we used on the week end with out problem?

high strength steel.
high carbon steel is what give rise to high strength steel alloys such used in tools and fasteners, engine parts. eg push rods.

Yeah should be ok mate, let us no if u need a hand or more filler rods, I can get my mate to drop them off to u if need b

They will be betterer, the carbon ones u had were way too thick, don't want to put too much weight in the uber mobile lol
