Re: My Delcoed Rides
minor set back, the current valve springs don't have enough length in them for the bigger lift cam, so got to order some new ones! no big deal, just will take a bit longer.
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: My Delcoed Rides
yeah definitely, im not the sort of person that would bolt it together not knowing!
I knew the cam had a fair bit more lift than the previous setup so I got my mate to check the installed height and coil bind height of the current springs, they might have been ok, but it was not going to have the usual .050 gap in the springs at full lift, and the spring pressure was also going to be on the lower limit so that's prompted the heavier springs!
so knowing I needed springs, I got the head setup with outer springs so I could check pushrod lengths and order pushrods and springs at the same time!
the roller rockers look right at home up the top there

Re: My Delcoed Rides
those lifts above are with 1.6 ratio rockers.... and yeah my springs are installed at 1.540 and coil bind at about 1.040 so only just not enough, but they also don't have enough pressure, about 110 on the seat, the new ones will be 150lb on the seat and 308lb at full lift
