Re: custom tunning
They are where tunerpro is told what to send to the ecu to say "tell me whats going on at this exact moment" and how big the frame of data sent back will be. Then the adx items define exactly what is in that frame.

Re: custom tunning
there is one more thing that intrigues me on the spark advance table i notice a total advancew of 20. something degrees of adv,is this right surely an engine would run more than that from the factory or is there another table that i haven't found yet that increases that adc curve?

just realized this is for boosted applications, sorry

Re: custom tunning
The mode 1 message refers to ALDL mode 1 message 0. There are many ALDL modes, there is some info here .. https://pcmhacking.net/forums/view ... f=10&t=219
So mode 1 is what antus mentioned, its the "give me whats going on right now command". Then the various mode 1 messages have different things, we are using message 0 in the 12P code as its got pretty much everything you need.
Spark advance - are you looking at the boost spark advance table maybe? Its set to a default 20degrees and you can adjust it to suit. The main spark advance 20-100kPa table is the normal spark advance and should have the factory values to suit NA engines - there are map A and map B as 12P has the option for two different tunes in the one program.

Re: custom tunning
sounds like your looking at the idle spark advance, find and open the main spark advance table, it is a 3d table as aposed to the idle spark advance table which is 2d ....
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: custom tunning
yes you are right i was looking at the boosted table ,it wasn't until i saw the -20 to-100 kpa table that i realized which one i was looking at,but now i need to ask this ,the $12p 111 is suitable for na or boosted,do i have to change anything when using this prog for boosted or na or does the map values dictate this[hope i have explained this properly]

Re: custom tunning
Yeah works for 1,2 or 3 bar - there are option flags to select what MAP sensor you are using. The boosted tables have MAP sensor values along the X axis, they automatically change depending on what sensor you have selected.
