I think (don't quote me) that the primary voltage spikes to abt 400 volts when the plug fires. This can be picked up and measured on a scope (old piece of gear) if it gets too high it may be knocking out the module.

The motor starts leaning out at around 3800rpm so it needs 60lb injectors

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/6-x-Siemens ... 1387641682

I found these which I assume would be compatIble for my setup but I measured my VX injectors and they at about 70mm, these say they are 60mm. I guess there is a bit of flexibility in the fuel rail mountings. Can anyone see any problems with this difference in length.

On the up side the tuner did some calculations and predicts this setup can achieve about 450hp at the flywheel but I won’t be going that far without forged pistons.

Cheers

Seimens are plug and play same length as stock injectors and will get you to around 500rwhp before you will need another upgrade

Ya gotta get it then keep it without breaking things. Should be possible with that big lugger engine. The only issue I see with shorter injectors is a possible air leak from the manifold if there not well intl the hole.

Picked it up tonight from the tuner and it just breaks traction it you give it a squirt Just need to keep the revs down at the moment so it doesn’t lean out.

It would be easy enough to adjust the fuel rail brackets if the injectors don’t sit low enough.

Visited upullit today to get a spare ECM for the Ute and found a very tidy JE Camira that was recently added. I was only equipped with side cutters, a flat blade and Phillips head screwdriver but managed to remove the loom in less than an hour. Hardest bit was a metal loom clip that bolts to the block. I had to wriggle that up a down vigorously for 10 minutes before that snapped and released the loom. I just snipped the head bolt earths. $60 bargain.

Yeah couldn’t believe my luck. There aren’t many JE Camira’s around anymore. Even the VN to VP Commodores are getting thin on the ground. Tonnes of VS VT Commodores though.
