im going to order one price is good, then have ease of keeping the good CAI box, then ill run it in on the current oil change and the next and see how the tests come out using roktex, even if i only use it a handfull of times then purchase another one you could still run it at stock paper filter cost.

Less airflow is less MAF metered flow so less fuel will be delivered

Because it's now doing 8400hz instead of higher hz at those RPM's the fueling is scaling as this is what the system is designed to do, but will also be out of whack because my injector multiplier table hasn't been tuned in those areas as it's usually never there but up higher so is in turn because of a stock 1.00 multiplier running leaner, if it was a completely standard engine and setup then Target AFR would match delivered AFR.

Eh hope this helps lol

Received the new Uniflow filter and have installed it, the filter foam is about 1 inch thick, the foam is completely soaked with oil out of the box :) and the oil they use is very very sticky.
Very solid construction and quality, the filter foam is actually sealed on the ends into the rubber, so there are no gaps or holes.

Here's a photo inside, has steel mesh.

Fits nicely into the pod box and still room for the washer bottle.

Now here's my old performance graph MAF 8800hz CYLAIR 578, though i have seen 8900hz on a sub 10c intake.

Now here's the uniflow and with hotter temps 29c and richer mixture as i hadn't set it back to before when i was trying to fix fueling on stock filter, but clear difference in flow MAF 9039hz CYLAIR 609 and also Cylair at 4400rpm has gone from 667 to 687

So not exactly what i was expecting, would have thought the cotton would flow more than foam, hopefully kill two birds with one filter, better flow and filtration!

Defiantly better than stock restricting to 8400hz.

Cool, ill have to get one for myself them. which model filter did you order?

I knew foam flowed better and also filters better but I was too sure about the whole oil thing, like will oil coat everything in the intake?

there performance/racing pods

I have the 90 140/140

90mm is Inside Diameter of the intake on the pod, im running a 95mm LS6 MAF, 69mm TB, ran a small bit of metal tube through pod box hole to clamp pod onto.

I doubt the oil will go anywhere, damn sticky stuff.

unlike the K and N which is like ATF. Should be good.

Just ordered my oil test kit from Roktex. yay!

to give you an idea, pouring the oil out of the bottle is more like honey.

this is common setup for a dirtbike, and i can tell you from personal experience they catch alot of dust very well!

just keep an eye on it if it starts getting dusty you probably want to wash it and re-oil it!

yeh i dont think atm i have any doubts about it's filtering capability, the foam is very fine and thick and being drenched in sticky oil i doubt anything would get through, it prob is more restrictive but being so large it allows enough air through, they did quote on there website filtering down to 4 microns which would have to be better than paper as i think paper relies on being slightly dirty to get its finer filtration?

Im pretty stoked that flow is better and the price is better than the crap they sell in the cheap stores.

i checked all the intake tubing and plenum chamber when i changed the filter over and everything is spotless, so im just hoping that the oil tests wasn't done properly which could seem like it as in a previous post it was mentioned with the results the oil would be more sludgy, which is wasn't it was the same out of the bottle just slightly darker.

what was in the oil test?
