nice!! and yeah its a high speed flowing track from what I've seen on the TV!

I guess the only way to know what your car can do in the wet is to get rain hehehe!

Can you take full street cars on any of the tracks in VIC? like I mean completely normal road car. Any free running around either.

Would love to take my VR our for a run on a track, but don't want to set it up with any race gear, nor race it in any sessions as I know stone chips can be bad with other cars in front depending on the track.

generally to compete in a speed event like that you need a cams licence, and you also need things like, fire extinguisher, battery locator triangle, but im not sure if theres more than that.

I have seen cars at local hill climbs with little more than a helmet and the above!

Yeah as 202T says.
The CAMS regs is available online to have a read about the rules.
Im not aware of just running your car on a track but I think Calder has test and tune days.
The sandown meeting had a "newbies" session at the end of the day to entice new members as well.

Hi Antus....unfortunately its the Hero 3 silver edition that has 1080P @25fps in pal format or 30fps in ntsc.
At least it has wifi and I updated it with the go pro app so I can control everything now with my iphone.
Very handy app as I can live view it on the phone if I alter the camera positions before I go out.

A work mate put me onto another app called racechrono that traces tracks from gps and you set up splits, lap times, etc etc.
Very handy app...until I found out its only on android and early windows mobile os.
I have an iphone and a HTC HD7...bloody windows7 os.
So i'll scoure around for a cheap android.
cheers
