so the debate has been on at weather to change the big turbo back to the H1E or back to the china T70 or H1E in its own huge T4 housing then it dawned on my all this talk of going back to smaller turbos made me sad LOL time to dig out the LS1 coil driver module and see if we can 2 step this badboy on boost should team up good with the transbrake hopefully be roll in hit the brake gas on to 25-2800rpm limiter and rattle it straight to boost now the only issue is we have ls1 truck coils so might have to attack the vt ls1 in the yard and do a coil and wiring plug swap to get the ls1 coils without heatsinks lol
keen to see how much difference it makes in the 60 foot with the 2 step
as for the springs ..... has anyone actually compared the holes in the motors to see, maybe the ecotec has a longer bore for the spring, maybe it has different amount of meat inside the plunger .... could be anything .....
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!
well that worked LOL fitted the ls1 coils late tonight for a test forgot my phone so no video.set limiter at 2800rpm foot brake hit the gas quickly got to 2800rpm 0 boost tapped onto the 2 step instantly round to 10psi
If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem
out for a quick test today heads are working it seems lol.comes on hard as the old h1e and at 10psi fueling has leaned from low 11's to low 12's and its an undrivable handfull when boost hits.under 14 psi felt shit with this turbo last time we were messing with it so must be in a more efficient part of the compressor map now with some head flow.engine is mint after a thrash so it gets the tick of approval and now parked back up and have started fitting the cage safety first then order up some injectors and a couple of pumps new lines and hopefully some 90/10's then looking like dyno time to even get a chance at tuning it now

yeah we know we can have 10 second power at any time so focus on safety , traction and handling now and then work at the tuning.if we gain enough traction to get a base tune down we can tune at the track from there.hopefully get our mate to borrow the scales once the cage is bolted in and setup some suspension and weight better will help traction its lifting the drivers rear to hard one rear tyre leaves a darker mark on the road and makes it kick out sideways under boost

been a while since an update .had a few runs along the line twisted the gearbox adaptor with ported heads and transbrake on first pass so now have custom made 10mm thick adaptor plate installed then went racing again and split a wastegate hose gave the v6 all the boost the h1e could give 40+psi blew out 1 cylinder of a headgasket again filled the sump to the top of the dipstick tube with water real fast LOL so in with 2 more monotorque gaskets with the engine still in the car and into it again running 11.2's on 16psi on shitty 1.9 60's due to the new transbraked 350 supplying the convertor with more fluid making the stall way lower than it used to be .spent a few hours last week messing with the tune to get it on the transbrake building boost faster seemed to help a lot .also dialed out single fire idle all together while i was at it sounds like a new car .drags on this weekend see if we cant let it go off the brake at 10psi
