Re: custom tunning
Also Zok, sorry if it's been covered but the $12p only cover the manual versions so don't buy an auto if you want to use $12p, as $11 is yet to be designed/developed & it won't have as many functions as $12p as there won't be enough room for all of it & auto functions!

Re: custom tunning
thanks for replys guys,
"for a moment there i thought plans were going down in flames, definatly don't want a manual,"delcowizzid"i really need a 5L because apart from the initial practice for me i do want to develop further and mod engine and then add turbo and use it as a flag ship for my buisness ,would you see any reason why i can't do what you said with a 5L instead of a v6?

Re: custom tunning
v6 or v8 makes no difference, aslong as if its an auto its from a vn/vp commodore it will be fine.
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: custom tunning
And in the 12P package use the BLCF bin and it will fire right up
Really the only change to make is for the speed sensor, in a VN/VP the item "Road speed params - Speed sensor constant Pulses/Kilometer" needs changing from 6250 to 1250.

Re: custom tunning
thanks guys,
thats a releif, i do have one more question,i was talking to a guy at the recent winternationals,he seemed switched on and from my limited knowledge i thought he knew what he was talking about ,anyway when i told him my planes about buying a vn,he suggested changing the ecu to a latter model one because it was faster and larger capcityand that it could run maf instead of map,was this guy right or not?or was i just dazzled with scinentific terminolagy?

Be carefull of idiots spreading misinformation.
The 808 has plenty of processing power.
If you use a later pcm you wont be able to use vl400s $12p code, which is bar far the best os for use with forced induction , and you will have to rewire the engine
Map based system are easier to tune ,plus you wont be restricted by the limitations of a maf based setup that can occur.
