......had to fix the dishwasher tonight. the clip that holds the door closed broke......its metal......had basically bent out of shape, and, then snapped when the door was forced closed. so welded it back together....its 1mm steel so not the easiest to weld, but, better now.

also took my climate control HVAC out. i had to fix a tab on that so JBwelded it, hopefully that will work. also had to route the wires up the top for the fan speed resistor/although on the clit control it looks to be an NPN transistor of sorts, so that can be plugged in when the HVAC goes back in.

it smells like turps in my back yard. i hate stale fuel smell, so bad.

I reckon it smells like varnish and musty stuff I cant put a finger on.

Was it stainless ? Probably rust up quick if it is and you've welded it with mild steel, should be tig welded

hq......i couldnt be bothered with the TIG. too fussy, have to change over gas etc. for what it is, it will last. the machine will get replaced eventually and this can go in the garage as a parts washer muhahahahahahahhahaha.

it is no good for anything. and neither are they either. too much trouble. if i had my time again ....... large block with a tin shed and 500 cats.

.....and so thats the fuel pump changed. such a fun job it is. am sure its the alignment of the planets and the position of your tongue as to how easy it goes back in LOL. least the tank was basically empty

man. the rubber around the base of the fuel pump had 'melted' and become soft. cleaned up and good now. will give it a good drink of premium for initial start methinks. drop in 10L or so should be enough for initial go juice.

all good pal - yep - agree - TIG with stainless would be perfect.

yeah. my cars run premium. except for the v8 hilux. that only runs LPG.

its the little things in life, like forgetting to plug in the auto loom so no NSS = no earth to start relay. duh. LOL

fuel pump not energising - i have crank, but, the loom i am using is a VP Calais, and, has the anti theft in place (but no module).
Thanks vlad for the hint on bridging the wires, need to give that a shot and see how we go.

and, needless to say i used up two batteries doing this. turns out i had a stone wheel on the grinder too. idiot.
i did do a good deed for the day at pick-a-part and helped out two ladies (no shit) take the circlips off window winders in an astra? so they could get the barrels out. i ran into them when leaving and pick-a-part were then kind enough to give me massive discount and look after me which was really kind.


all just so i could install these, again


note that the bracket on the far left allowed me to mount a VT dash pad in place of the VN one. i *was* going to do that but, lost interest/motivation and wanted my VN back as a VN. interestingly the brackets changed to smaller items in the VN2 over the VN1...the original brackets were much bigger than these (like 100mm wide) vs these which are like 75mm wide.
