Sounds spot on
Nothing better than spending the extra time and effort to have it start and decay idle etc as if it just come out of the factory.

Will get a vid next time for you delcowizzid...

And a log of the ignition module of the same WOT, no dwell overlap as I wanted to check that it handles the burn time correctly but seemed fine with low dwell time...

The bottom monitor has light blue as the requested EST dwell that the ECU calculated. The red is what the module calculates and would like to deliver and dark blue is what actually got delivered.

In the current operating mode the EST dwell is ignored, so the light blue is not used at all. The module knows how much time is available for dwell, once RPM gets above about 3K RPM there is no longer enough time to get a full charge so the delivered starts to reduce.

Dwell overlap is turned off, so even though there are multiple coils it still treats things as a single coil and reduces dwell to fit the available time. Once the coil is fired it waits a fixed amount of time (currently 600us) for the spark to finish and then begins dwell again. So at 9min10 can see the red target dwell does not change, but delivered starts to reduce due to RPM. With dwell overlap and multiple coils there would not be a reduction in dwell time as you can charge more than one coil at any one time.

If the light blue EST dwell was being used with all dwell controlled by the ECU the dark blue line would be following it.
